Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of steelpixelspgh.com (the "Site") and any Leak Map or other materials we share through it. If you use the Site, you agree to these Terms.

Paid services. These Terms apply to the Site and the free or preliminary materials we provide through it. Paid services, deliverables, ownership rights, fees, timelines, and support obligations are governed by the applicable signed proposal, Statement of Work, or other written agreement. If there is a conflict between these Terms and a signed agreement, the signed agreement controls.

1) Who we are

SteelPixels LLC ("SteelPixels," "we," "us," "our"), based in Pittsburgh, PA — providing technology consulting and services for small and mid-sized businesses.

2) Using the Site

Use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not harm our systems or other users. Do not attempt to access non-public areas, interfere with the Site, or use automated tools to scrape or extract content in a way that burdens the Site or violates these Terms.

3) Your submissions

If you send content such as text, files, logos, product information, photos, or other materials, you confirm that you have the rights and permissions necessary to provide and use them.

You keep ownership of your materials. You grant us a limited license to use, copy, store, analyze, and adapt them as reasonably necessary to review, plan, provide, improve, and support the services or assistance you requested and to communicate with you about them.

4) Leak Map terms

• The Leak Map is a free review that shows where your customer journey is leaking and what to address first.
• It is provided as-is for evaluation — not production use — unless you engage us to implement changes.
• Unless we both sign a statement that transfers ownership, we provide the Leak Map under a limited, non-exclusive license for your internal evaluation only. You may not resell, publish, or use it as production instructions without our written permission. If we continue together, ownership and usage rights are set in the paid Statement of Work.
• Any timelines are estimates.

5) Services & third-party tools

Our work may connect to outside tools (e.g., website platforms, analytics, call/text, booking, listings). Those platforms have their own terms and privacy policies, which you should review. You are responsible for your accounts, credentials, and billing with those services unless our contract says otherwise.

6) AI-assisted services

We may use AI-assisted tools as part of our normal workflow to draft, edit, analyze, research, organize, code, or otherwise support our services. We remain responsible for the work we deliver.

When using AI-assisted tools, we use reasonable efforts to limit client information to what is necessary for the task and to use available business, security, or privacy controls where appropriate. We do not knowingly disclose client confidential information through publicly accessible AI outputs.

7) No guarantees

We aim for useful results, but we do not guarantee specific rankings, bookings, or sales. Market conditions, competition, and business execution are outside our control.

8) Disclaimers

The Site and any Leak Map are provided as-is and as available, for general informational and business-planning purposes — they are not legal, financial, tax, or other regulated professional advice. We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9) Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. For claims related to the Site or a free or preliminary Leak Map, our total liability is capped at $100. Liability for paid services is governed by the applicable signed agreement.

10) Confidentiality

If you share non-public business information that is confidential by its nature or the circumstances, we will use it only as reasonably necessary to serve you and will protect it with reasonable care.

Paid engagements may include additional confidentiality obligations in the applicable Statement of Work or other signed agreement.

11) Client responsibilities (when we work together)

You will provide accurate content and timely approvals; maintain any licenses, permissions, notices, and consents required for the materials and business activities you ask us to support; and comply with applicable laws, including advertising, privacy, consumer-protection, communications, and intellectual-property requirements.

12) Intellectual property

We own our pre-existing IP, methods, templates, and tools. Upon payment in full under a Statement of Work, you will receive the rights described there (often a license or assignment of deliverables). Trademarks on the Site belong to us or our licensors.

13) Texting & calls

If you opt into Text, you agree to receive messages related to your request. Message frequency varies. STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Standard message/data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

14) Links

Links to third-party sites are provided as a convenience. We are not responsible for their content or policies.

15) Copyright complaints

If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright, email hello@steelpixelspgh.com with details (your contact information, identification of the work, and the location of the material on the Site); we will review.

16) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflicts of law. Venue is the state or federal courts in Allegheny County, PA.

17) Changes

We may update these Terms at any time by posting a new version with a new "Last updated" date.
